1. What information do we collect about you?

Fair and Fast home buyers will collect the information about you when you complete our online enquiry form, correspond by email with us or by phone. We may also collect information about you during any voluntarily completed customer surveys and service feedback. The website information is collected using cookies. For more in depth information regarding cookies, please see section 8. The personal information we typically collect is as follows: full name, mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number. Additionally, we require the details of the property you wish to sell.

2. How will we use the information about you?

The information Fair and Fast Limited will collect about you will be used to process your sale, manage your account and contact you regarding services that may be of interest to you. We also use your information collected to personalise your experience on our website.

We may share our personal information with trusted service providers, with whom we have a contractual relationship to perform, or assist us in performing, any of the functions required for the sale of your property, ensuring they have all the necessary data protection policies and procedures in place.

In the event of contact from regulatory or law enforcement agencies we may release your personal information, if required. When sensitive personal data is included in the information that you send to use, we limit our use and disclosure of such sensitive data in all cases, except where permitted by law.

3. How long do we retain information about you?

Fair and Fast limited will only retain your information for as long as is necessary for the purpose or purposes for which we have collected it. The criteria used to determine retention periods will be determined by the nature of the enquiry.

Fair and Fast limited will not directly market to you for longer than three years unless we are given your permission to receive marketing again during the three-year period. In certain circumstances, while your information has been deleted or anonymised, we may need to retain parts of it in order to comply with our obligations under our General Data Protection Requirement (GDPR) or fraud detection purposes.

4. Why can we use your personal information?

We rely on two of the legal reasons in the data protection regulation to allow us to collect and use your personal information – “consent” and “legitimate interest”.

Consent

We may ask for your consent to contact you now or in the future about our products and services. We will ask you for your name, contact details and give you the opportunity to review our Privacy Policy.

You do not have to give your consent and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Legitimate interest

Sometimes we may use your personal information because we believe you expect us to contact you with information about our products and services or provide you better service. These instances are as follows:

  • When you provide your contact details in response to our advertising and indicate you are requesting information about our products and services.
  • Upon receiving your call, if we are unavailable and you give your contact details to our messaging service.
  • When you give us your personal information to receive a quote for our services.
  • When we need to contact you to clarify any information you may have given us.

At any time, you can contact us and request us not to contact you. We will then remove your details from our contact list.

5. Marketing

If you give us your consent or we believe that you expect us to contact you, we may use your personal information to provide you with information about our services. We may contact you by telephone, SMS, post or email.

6. Understanding our customers

In order to improve our services, we can conduct analysis on the information we collect to look for trends in the behaviour of our customers. This allows us to understand what our customers want and need.

7. Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us at admin@fairandfast.co.uk or write to us at the following address:

8. Cookies

This Cookie policy explains what cookies are and how we use them.

Cookies are little text files which are stored on the browser or hard drive of your computer or mobile device when you visit a webpage or application. Cookies work to make your experience browsing our site as smooth as possible and they remember your preferences, so you don’t have to insert your details again and again.

There are different types of cookies. Some cookies come directly from our website and others come from third parties which place cookies on our site.

Cookies can be stored for varying lengths of time on your browser or device. Session cookies are deleted from your computer or device when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer or device until deleted or until they reach their expiry date.

We have 3 varieties of cookies which operate on our website:

  1. Strictly Necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request of services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
  2. Performance cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources, so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site.
  3. Targeting cookies
These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners who may use them to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience by:

  • Recognising what your preferred settings are
  • Giving you a browsing experience that is unique to you and to serve you content which we believe improves your experience on our site
  • Analysing how you use our site which helps us to troubleshoot any problems and to monitor our own performance

How do you change cookie preferences or block cookies?

For the performance cookies and targeting cookies when starting a new session on our website, you can choose to opt-out of these. It is possible that any advertising you receive will be less targeted as a result, but the site should function correctly.

If you wish to disable the strictly necessary cookies, then within your browser you can choose whether you want to accept cookies or not. Different browsers make different controls available to you. Generally, your browser will offer you the choice to accept, refuse or delete all cookies, third-party cookies or specific website cookies. Each browser’s website should contain instructions on how you can do this.

For further information please refer to: https://www.aboutcookies.org/how-to-delete-cookies/

If you block these cookies on our website, you may be unable to access certain areas of our website and certain functions and pages will not work in the usual way.

9. Other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

10. Changes to our Privacy Policy

We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review and we will place any updates on this web page. This Privacy Policy is effective from 30th June 2020.
